A hidden French cocktail lounge located beneath Marseille invites New York's fashion, nightlife and hospitality communities to discover its subterranean world this September. Bar Bas, a sexy speakeasy lounge in the heart of the city above, inspired by the laid-back glamour of French bars of the 1970s, will officially celebrate its grand opening this September, timed to coincide with the energy and excitement of New York Fashion Week, following a soft roll out earlier this summer.

Under the guise of Bar Bas' eight-story history at 8 East 99th Street, Bar Bas offers an intimate 23-sq ft escape from the city above, inspired by the laid-back glamour of French bars of the 1970s. With its low-lit atmosphere, intimate seating, French-inspired cocktails, wine and late-night dining, Bar Bas is designed as a destination for those looking to linger long after the fashion shows end and embrace a romantic atmosphere that lures in patrons for hours on end.

In recent weeks, Mark Ballas hosted a final night celebration to mark the close out of his starring stint in Broadway's Chicago the musical, for a late night dance party celebration with castmates, featuring DJ Reach, which is a perfect example of the allure Bar Bas provides its guests and partygoers.

The upcoming Fashion Week grand opening marks the next chapter for the lounge, officially welcoming New York's fashion, entertainment, hospitality and nightlife communities into its world, after a soft roll out over the last two months, building its mysterious allure and creating a buzz amongst New York social scenesters in the know.
