Starting November 13, Hershey's Chocolate World will activate a broad holiday programming push across its flagship Hershey, Pa., location and its Times Square outpost, deploying a multi-daypart LTO menu, character experiences, and exclusive merchandise timed to a biographical film about founder Milton Hershey. The move is squarely aimed at extending dwell time and per-guest spend during what the attraction bills as its highest-traffic seasonal window.
The LTO Menu
The seasonal beverage program anchors the revenue play. The Hershey's Kisses Snickerdoodle Milkshake and York Peppermint Pattie Milkshake are available at both the Pennsylvania flagship and Times Square; four limited-time Melted Hot Chocolate variants—including an Affogato Mocha build and a KIT KAT Peppermint Stick version—round out the non-alcoholic sip menu. The adult-beverage daypart, limited to the Pennsylvania location, adds specialty cocktails including The Milton, a salted caramel vodka-and-coffee-liqueur build, and a Jolly Rancher Appletini. A non-alcoholic mocktail version of The Milton broadens the addressable occasion. On the food side, LTOs include the Hershey's Almond Cluster Big Cookie, a Kisses Strawberry Sugar Cookie Cheesecake, and a KIT KAT Santa Mousse Parfait—all positioned as incremental ticket items rather than meal replacements.
Milton Hershey Tie-In
A biographical film tie-in is driving a distinct merchandising and menu layer. The attraction is releasing a limited-edition Milton Hershey Movie Bear available while supplies last, alongside Milton's Chocolate Caramel Milkshake and Milton Hershey's Caramels—a soft caramel inspired by the founder's original 1894 recipe, sold in 12 oz. pouches. The Hershey's Chocolate House, a perennial seasonal installation, returns this year decorated as a nod to one of Milton Hershey's original candy shops and will support the Children's Miracle Network. "At Hershey's Chocolate World, we love giving families a place to celebrate traditions, discover something new and create memories that last long after the season ends," said Suzanne Jones, Vice President at The Hershey Experience.
Operator Context
For foodservice and hospitality operators, the Hershey's Chocolate World strategy illustrates a well-worn seasonal playbook: brand-owned attractions functioning as direct-to-consumer experiential retail channels where margin on LTO food-and-beverage is compounded by high-margin merchandise attachment. The model has parallels in how theme-park F&B operators—from Disney Parks to Dollywood—use seasonal menus to drive incremental spend per visit rather than gate-count growth alone. The adult-beverage layer, confined to the Pennsylvania unit, reflects broader trends in family entertainment centers adding licensed alcohol programs to expand revenue per visit among millennial parents. Holiday programming runs through January 3, with the New Year's Eve family event on December 31 from 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. serving as a standalone incremental daypart. Operators tracking seasonal LTO strategy in experiential venues and brand-licensed foodservice programs will find the Hershey execution a relevant case study for Q4 traffic and per-guest check management.
