The LTO
Jollibee is rolling out two limited-time honey garlic items across participating U.S. and Canadian units starting October 15, 2026: Honey Garlic Bone-In Fried Chicken and a Honey Garlic Chicken Sandwich. The launch extends the Filipino-heritage QSR chain's core fried-chicken equity into glazed-and-sauced territory, a format that has gained consistent traction across the fast-food chicken segment over the past several years.
The bone-in offering is hand-dipped in a sweet-savory honey garlic glaze and finished with crispy fried garlic bits. It is available in a 2-piece combo and 6- and 10-piece bucket configurations — price points not disclosed in the announcement. The sandwich builds on the same glaze, applying it to a thick breast fillet served with cucumber slices on a toasted brioche-style bun, a build that tracks with premium-sandwich positioning seen across the broader chicken-sandwich daypart.
Channel and Ordering
Both items are available through all ordering channels: in-store, drive-thru, and the Jollibee App for pickup and delivery. Enabling digital ordering at launch is consistent with the chain's broader loyalty investment; the Jollibee Rewards program is positioned as the primary vehicle for exclusive LTO offers. Drive-thru mix and app-based ordering have become critical traffic levers for QSR operators managing labor costs, and Jollibee's multi-channel rollout reflects standard execution practice for a chain of its scale.
"With our new Honey Garlic Fried Chicken and Chicken Sandwich, we're delivering the perfect balance of familiar comfort and bold flavor innovation," said Luis Velasco, Senior Vice President and Marketing Head, Jollibee North America. The brand has carried USA TODAY's "Best Fast Food Fried Chicken in America" designation for three consecutive years, a credential operators and franchisees have leaned on in competitive markets.
North America Expansion Context
The LTO arrives as Jollibee continues its North American unit expansion push. Parent Jollibee Foods Corporation (PSE: JFC) operates a 20-brand portfolio of more than 10,700 stores across 33 countries, giving the company substantial supply-chain leverage for ingredient sourcing — an advantage for rolling out a sauce-intensive platform without significant margin drag. Honey and garlic are well-established commodity inputs, limiting the procurement complexity typical of more exotic flavor LTOs.
The honey garlic flavor profile sits within a broader QSR trend toward globally-inspired glazes and sweet-heat builds, a segment shift that has reshaped chicken-sandwich competition since 2019. For Jollibee, which differentiates partly on its Filipino-rooted flavor identity, the honey garlic LTO represents a deliberate step toward flavor profiles with crossover appeal for mainstream North American consumers while retaining the brand's fried-chicken core.
Unit-level economics for the North America estate were not disclosed in the announcement. Operators looking for context on LTO-driven traffic lift and QSR fried-chicken category dynamics will find the comp-sales read on this platform worth tracking through Q4 2026.
