Salad and Go is overhauling its menu across all 70 drive-thru units with the launch of Menu 2.GO, a systemwide refresh that adds structured combo tiers, a new entry-level price point, a flame-seared USDA steak protein, and a suite of summer LTOs — a direct response to what the Phoenix-based chain describes as growing operator pressure to deliver health, speed, and affordability under one roof.
The Value Play
The combo architecture is the sharpest competitive signal in the rollout. A $3 combo lets guests add a small drink and a select side — pita chips, hummus, or a cheese quesadilla — to any salad or wrap. The $5 combo unlocks any-size drinks and premium sides including a chicken or steak quesadilla, mac and cheese cup, or soup. A new smaller salad starting at $5.99 creates an even lower entry point for trial, a move that mirrors value-tier strategies seen across fast-casual peers as check sensitivity remains elevated heading into the back half of 2026.
CEO Mike Tattersfield framed the update as a platform, not a one-time promotion. "This major menu evolution gives guests more choice, flexibility and value, making it easier to enjoy delicious, nutritious food every day," Tattersfield said, adding that additional menu innovation is planned for the coming months.
Protein and Seasonal LTOs
On the ingredient side, Salad and Go is introducing an all-natural, flame-seared USDA steak across the menu — a premium protein addition that feeds into both the new combo sides (steak quesadilla) and the summer seasonal lineup. The Elote Salad draws on Mexican street corn flavors with roasted corn, pepitas, jalapeños, cotija cheese, and Tajín. The Summer Crunch Salad layers flame-seared steak with tomatoes, pickles, and crispy onions in what the chain describes as a loaded-burger flavor profile in salad form. Beverage LTOs include a Coconut Lemonade and Coconut Cold Brew.
Co-founder and Executive Chef Daniel Patino noted the refresh reflects roughly 18 months of iterative menu development. "Over the past 18 months, we've expanded the menu with new proteins, sides and seasonal offerings based on what our guests told us they want," Patino said. "Menu 2.GO brings those choices together in a way that's even more flexible."
Context and Unit Economics
Salad and Go's drive-thru-only model — no dining room, high throughput — keeps labor costs structurally lower than sit-down fast casual, which gives the chain room to compete at price points that would be margin-destructive for most peers. That unit economics advantage is central to its positioning: the chain's core salads have historically been priced well below the fast-casual average, and Menu 2.GO doubles down on that gap with combo pricing that undercuts most QSR value meal benchmarks.
A July 2026 survey of 512 guests in Arizona and Nevada — commissioned by Salad and Go and fielded July 9–12 via SurveySparrow — found that roughly 49% of respondents said it is difficult to find meals that are healthy, fast, and affordable, while approximately 42% reported feeling sluggish after a greasy fast-food lunch. The data points are directional rather than statistically projectable, given the opt-in, email-based methodology and regional scope, but they align with broader consumer sentiment tracked across the better-for-you fast-food segment.
Beyond the menu itself, Salad and Go is layering in digital value through its app and online ordering channels: $1 off Caesar salads and wraps, $6 salads with any breakfast burrito purchase, and $9.99 weekend combos. Menu 2.GO is live systemwide across all 70 Arizona and Nevada locations, available for in-unit ordering, pickup, and delivery.
