The Program Overhaul

Topgolf is rolling out its most comprehensive event-menu restructuring in recent years, replacing a legacy banquet program with four chef-driven buffet concepts, a redesigned team-competition game, and a set of operational upgrades — all timed to capture corporate holiday-party bookings across its 100-plus global venues. The changes take effect October 28, 2026.

The four new signature formats — Modern Mediterranean, Cantina Kitchen, Taste of Topgolf, and the premium Chef's Table — shift away from pre-fixed menus toward customizable, build-your-own buffet stations. Each concept is complemented by an à la carte add-on list that includes gluten-friendly, vegan, and vegetarian proteins, sides, and whole pizzas, a deliberate move to reduce friction for event planners managing diverse dietary requirements across large corporate groups.

Holiday LTOs and Promotions

For the 2026 holiday season, Topgolf layers two limited-time menus on top of the year-round program. The Holiday Taste of Topgolf and Festive Fare formats — both available October 28, 2026 through January 31, 2027 — feature premium additions including Prime Rib Sliders and Lobster Mac and Cheese. Three group-booking promotions accompany the LTO push: a $15 game-play bonus card for November and December event guests, half-price bay play on Mondays in December, and an early-bird perk for planners securing 25-or-more-guest parties before October 31.

The promotional architecture reflects how entertainment-dining venues compete for the Q4 corporate-event calendar, a daypart and occasion segment where group minimums, per-head spend, and rebooking incentives carry more weight than individual check averages. Competitors in the eatertainment category — including Dave & Buster's and bowling-anchored concepts — have similarly leaned into event-dining revenue streams as a hedge against walk-in traffic volatility.

Operations and Service Model

Beyond the menu itself, Topgolf is retooling back-of-house execution to support higher-volume event service. The chain is increasing buffet refresh frequency to one buffet station per 30 guests, up from one per 50, and assigning a dedicated Service Support Lead to each buffet — freeing floor staff to focus on guest engagement rather than replenishment. New event tables eliminate the need for linens and associated storage logistics, and modernized buffet display equipment rounds out the physical upgrade.

CEO David McKillips framed the initiative as a platform play for the chain's peak revenue window: "This evolution gives planners more flexibility and a smoother experience from booking to the last bite." The operational changes signal that Topgolf is investing in catering and group-dining execution as a structural revenue lever, not just a seasonal promotion vehicle.

On the entertainment side, Topgolf's TopContender team-competition game has been fully rebuilt around QR-code-driven instant scoring that aggregates results across multiple bays and supports cross-location competitions. New arcade and augmented-reality experiences in bar and lounge spaces extend group dwell time beyond the hitting bays — a tactic directly correlated with higher per-visit food and beverage spend in the eatertainment segment.
