New SKU, Familiar Format
Via Carota Craft Cocktails is extending its premium ready-to-drink sparkling portfolio with the Sparkling Cosmo, a 200mL single-serve bottle built on triple-distilled vodka, cranberry, lime, orange zest, and sparkling wine that clocks in at 11.0% ABV. Four-packs retail at $23.99 and a 10-pack is available direct-to-consumer at $69. The SKU launches into Total Wine, select Trader Joe's, ABC Fine Wine & Spirits, and Stew Leonard's, among other retailers.
The launch is the brand's fifth sparkling expression, joining the French 75, Spritz, Paloma, and Sparkling Negroni. For on-premise buyers and retail beverage directors, the addition rounds out a sparkling set that now covers the major celebratory dayparts — aperitivo, brunch, and late-night — without requiring staff to build or garnish anything.
TikTok Tailwind
The timing tracks a measurable demand signal. The brand's French 75 generated 6 million organic TikTok views, triggering enough retail pull-through that the brand cited consumer requests for shelf placement as a direct business outcome. Ryan Giunta, President of Via Carota Craft Cocktails, framed the social lift as confirmation that the sparkling segment still has room to run — particularly for RTD expressions that pair format convenience with premium positioning.
The Cosmopolitan itself is experiencing a broader on-trend resurgence across bar programs. Spirits distributors and chain beverage managers have flagged renewed consumer interest in the format, and RTD producers are moving quickly to capture that intent before it cycles back into bartender-built territory. At 11.0% ABV and a chilled, pour-ready format, the Sparkling Cosmo is positioned as a low-labor, high-margin unit for hotel minibars, event catering, and retail off-premise channels alike.
Channel and Operator Implications
For foodservice and hospitality operators sourcing RTD cocktail programs, Via Carota's sparkling line represents the expanding middle ground between mass-market hard seltzers and full bar buildouts. The brand's West Village restaurant heritage — co-founder and chef Rita Sodi described the development process as wanting bubbles to elevate the classic Cosmo profile without obscuring it — supports a premium narrative that hospitality buyers can communicate to guests without extensive staff training.
The RTD cocktail segment broadly has seen accelerating velocity in off-premise channels, with sparkling sub-segments outpacing still formats in several distributor scan reports over the past 18 months. That tailwind, combined with a recognizable cocktail nameplate and established retail distribution, gives the Sparkling Cosmo a credible launch posture. Operators evaluating ready-to-drink beverage programs or premium alcohol sourcing for catering, banquet, and grab-and-go dayparts will find the four-pack format a natural fit for high-throughput service points where bartender labor is constrained.
