The LTO Play
Yogurtland is leaning into the holiday daypart with two limited-time frozen yogurt flavors rolling across its 220-plus domestic and international locations through December 31. The self-serve chain is deploying the seasonal push as a traffic driver during what is traditionally a soft winter period for frozen-dessert concepts.
The two additions — Holiday Baking Championship Peppermint Brownie Bliss and Cookie Butter Made with Biscoff® Cookies — arrive alongside two complementary seasonal toppings: Holiday Baking Buddies gingerbread-style pieces and Biscoff® Cookie crumbles. The broader bundle gives operators a cohesive holiday merchandising story at the self-serve topping bar, where attachment rates and customization drive incremental check.
Brand Partnerships Drive Visibility
The peppermint brownie SKU carries a co-branding tie-in with Food Network's Holiday Baking Championship, giving Yogurtland earned media exposure through the cable network's Monday-night programming. Cross-promotional arrangements with established media properties have become a reliable LTO amplifier for mid-size chains looking to compete for consumer mindshare without major advertising budgets. For a 220-unit brand operating largely in the QSR dessert segment, the Food Network alignment extends reach well beyond what paid placements alone would deliver.
The Cookie Butter Made with Biscoff® Cookies flavor taps the Lotus Biscoff ingredient brand, which has built broad consumer recognition across foodservice and retail channels. Ingredient co-branding — particularly with pantry-familiar items — has shown consistent lift in trial rates for frozen dessert LTOs, as operators in the segment compete for share against gelato, premium soft-serve, and fast-casual dessert concepts.
Operator Context
Yogurtland's self-serve model means labor costs around flavor execution are relatively contained; swapping in seasonal bases requires operational adjustment primarily at the flavor-dispensing level rather than in full back-of-house prep. That asset-light, operator-friendly format has historically supported the chain's franchise development, though unit growth in the self-serve frozen yogurt category has plateaued industrywide since peak expansion in the early 2010s.
Sam Kwon, Head of Project Services & eCommerce at Yogurtland, framed the rollout around guest experience: "Whether trying something new or pairing these seasonal offerings with their go-to favorites, we look forward to helping guests make every visit a little more special this holiday season." The reference to eCommerce in Kwon's title signals that off-premise channels — delivery and pickup — remain part of how the brand is routing incremental dessert occasions beyond in-store visits.
For franchisees, limited-time flavor windows create natural urgency messaging and can support loyalty program engagement, both of which matter as the frozen and specialty dessert segment competes for a share of discretionary food spending. Chains that pair LTO flavor news with digital loyalty activations have reported stronger redemption rates during holiday windows, a tactic Yogurtland's eCommerce focus suggests it is pursuing.
