Visit Orlando's Magical Dining, presented by Orlando Health, opens its 21st annual run on Aug. 14 with a record 188 participating restaurants — up from prior years — offering three-course, prix-fixe menus priced at either $40 or $60, plus tax and gratuity, through Sept. 30.
The Restaurant Lineup
This year's roster adds 38 new participants and 16 MICHELIN Guide-recognized establishments, the largest cohort of decorated venues in the program's history. The 2026 edition also marks the first appearance of a Michelin-starred restaurant: ÔMO by Jônt. Other notable additions include two dining outlets at Universal's Helios Grand Hotel, a rooftop restaurant with fireworks views, a live-entertainment jazz club, and a private pickleball club restaurant opening exclusively to Magical Dining guests for the duration of the promotion. Full menus are live at OrlandoMagicalDining.com.
The program's price architecture — unchanged at $40 and $60 — positions it squarely in the accessible fine-casual and upscale-casual dayparts that have driven consistent cover growth in destination markets. For operators, the fixed-price format provides a predictable per-cover revenue floor while driving trial among tourists and local diners who might not otherwise book at higher-check venues. With Orlando's restaurant scene expanding alongside theme-park investment, participation in a destination-marketing organization event of this scale functions as an efficient customer-acquisition channel with minimal incremental marketing spend.
Charitable and Sponsorship Structure
The program's charity mechanic directs $1 per $40 meal and $2 per $60 meal to designated nonprofits. The 2026 primary beneficiary is OCA (Opportunity, Community, Ability), which supports individuals with autism and developmental differences. Visit Orlando also distributes $3,000 grants to nonprofits in each of Orange County's six commission districts. Since the charity component launched in 2009, the program has raised nearly $3.3 million for Central Florida organizations — a cumulative figure that underscores the scale of cover volume generated across 17 fundraising cycles.
Casandra Matej, president and CEO of Visit Orlando, framed the record participation as a convergence of operator, diner, and community benefit. "Few programs create this kind of positive impact for restaurants, diners and our community all at the same time," she said.
Orlando Health returns as presenting sponsor for a third consecutive year, maintaining its designation as Visit Orlando's official Health & Wellness Partner. Erick Hawkins, CFO of Orlando Health and a Visit Orlando board member, cited the program's dual role in supporting local nonprofits and promoting destination health resources.
Hotel Tie-In and Outlook
The companion Magical Nights program runs concurrently, with participating hotels offering special rates or packages designed to bundle prix-fixe dining with overnight stays. Confirmed properties include Evermore Orlando Resort, Grande Lakes Orlando, Hilton Orlando, Lake Nona Wave, and Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, with additional partners to be added. The hotel integration extends operator revenue opportunity beyond the restaurant check, linking foodservice performance to lodging occupancy in a market where group and leisure travel consistently ranks among the highest in the country.
For Orlando-area operators evaluating promotional programming and LTO strategy, the Magical Dining model illustrates how destination-marketing organizations can function as de facto distribution partners — delivering qualified diners to the door at a defined price point. As upscale-casual and fine-dining segments continue to navigate a value-conscious consumer environment nationally, fixed-price events tied to tourism infrastructure represent a resilient traffic-driving mechanism heading into fall shoulder season.
