Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Inc. (NASDAQ: RRGB) is leaning into dinner-daypart traffic with a new limited-time bundle priced at $17.99 that packages two half-portion entrées, coleslaw, a Bottomless Side, and a choice of appetizer or dessert into a single check ring. The Dinner Double Feature, available dine-in only from 4 p.m. to close at participating locations nationwide, launched August 10.

The Offer Mechanics

The bundle draws from five entrée selections — including Crispy Chicken Strips, Crispy Fried Shrimp, Whiskey River BBQ Chicken Breast, and Whiskey River BBQ Ribs — yielding what the chain calculates as 180 possible meal combinations. A single Bottomless Side (steak fries, Yukon chips, or steamed broccoli) anchors the plate, while appetizer options such as Pretzel Bites, Crispy Fried Pickles, and Queso Fundido round out the savory path; guests preferring a sweet finish can swap in a Warm Brownie or Cookie Sundae. The price does not include tax or gratuity, and the offer cannot be stacked with Red Robin Royalty rewards or other promotions.

Value Positioning in Casual Dining

The move reflects a broader defensive posture across casual dining, where chains have faced persistent traffic headwinds as consumers trade down to QSR or pull back on restaurant visits entirely. At $17.99 per cover, Red Robin is pitching a per-person check that undercuts conventional casual-dining entrée-plus-add-on pricing while preserving a multi-component, table-service experience. "Dinner shouldn't have to be a choice between variety and value," said Dave Pace, president and CEO of Red Robin. "With the Dinner Double Feature, guests can mix and match their favorites, enjoy a complete meal and get the generous portions and hospitality they expect from Red Robin, all for $17.99."

The evening-daypart focus is deliberate. Lunch and off-premise channels have been the growth story for much of the casual-dining segment, but dinner remains the highest-AUV daypart for full-service operators. Anchoring a compelling LTO exclusively to the dinner window is a traffic-driving tactic aimed at reversing same-store sales softness that has challenged the casual-dining segment over the past several quarters.

Franchisee and Network Context

Red Robin operates nearly 500 locations across the United States and Canada, including both company-owned units and franchised restaurants. The chain has been executing a multi-year operational reset under Pace, with efforts focused on labor efficiency, menu rationalization, and guest experience. A bundle that drives dinner covers without requiring significant back-of-house complexity — half portions from existing menu proteins — fits that efficiency posture. The dine-in restriction also protects margins that would otherwise erode under third-party delivery commission structures, a calculus now standard across casual-dining off-premise strategy.

The Dinner Double Feature is available for a limited time at participating Red Robin locations; terms and full conditions are posted at RedRobin.com/Dinner-Double-Feature.
