Dierks Bentley's ROW 94 Whiskey is making three simultaneous moves to deepen its on-premise presence: a downtown Nashville tasting room, a branded guided tour, and a limited-edition expression that completes its final aging inside the Grand Ole Opry. The announcements, made during a press event at the Opry marking the Second Annual Dierks Day, signal an accelerating push by the Kentucky straight bourbon brand to convert music-tourism traffic into bourbon trial and repeat purchase.

The On-Premise Play

The ROW 94 Tasting Room is located inside the Bode Hotel at 401 President Ronald Reagan Way in downtown Nashville and operates Thursday through Sunday, 4–10 p.m. The opening price point is accessible: Flight 94, a three-expression sampler covering ROW 94, ROW 94 Full Proof, and Broken Branches, is priced at $25 for three one-ounce pours. The cocktail program runs nine drinks, anchored by originals like the Broadway Smoke — ROW 94, allspice, walnut liqueur, demerara syrup, and tobacco smoke — and The Front ROW, built on brown butter-infused ROW 94 with espresso, pecan, amaro, and demerara. The venue also carries branded merchandise. Hotel-anchored tasting rooms have become a reliable vehicle for spirits brands targeting destination markets; for a brand launched as recently as September 2024, securing a permanent on-premise retail activation in Nashville's hospitality corridor represents a significant step in building AUV-equivalent brand economics at the account level.

Running alongside the tasting room is The Music Whiskey Trail: Dierks Bentley & ROW 94, a three-hour guided tour operated by Mint Julep Experiences every Saturday from 2–5 p.m. at $169 per person. The itinerary covers Music Row, Lower Broadway, the Ryman Auditorium, and the ROW 94 Tasting Room itself, with a signature cocktail served at Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row on Broadway. The tour format converts Nashville's existing tourism infrastructure — roughly 15 million visitors annually to the metro — into a scalable brand-trial engine without requiring additional bricks-and-mortar investment from the brand.

The Limited Release

Trespasser's Proof, the brand's most distinctive expression to date, was unveiled at the same event. The bourbon uses the same mash bill as the flagship ROW 94, distilled at Green River Distilling Co. in Owensboro, Kentucky, and ages a minimum of four years. It then transfers to a secure location within the Grand Ole Opry grounds to complete a secondary aging and finishing stage — a production wrinkle the brand is positioning as a first-of-its-kind approach. The finishing staves are drawn from hard white oak and sugar maple, the same wood species used in the stage at the Ryman Auditorium, the Opry's historic home for nearly three decades.

The batch is four barrels. Because each barrel will develop individual character, the final proof will be determined by the distillery team through sampling ahead of bottling. ROW 94 Trespasser's Proof is targeted for early 2027 at a suggested retail price of $100, available online and through select bourbon bars and retailers. At four barrels, allocation will be tightly constrained — a deliberate scarcity strategy that supports the $100 price tier and creates on-premise menu value for accounts that secure placements.

Market Context

Celebrity spirits have faced headwinds across the broader beverage-alcohol category as consumers trade more selectively and retail shelf space tightens. Brands that survive beyond initial launch typically do so by building genuine on-premise trial infrastructure rather than relying on wholesale distribution alone. ROW 94's simultaneous tasting room opening, guided tour partnership, and limited LTO release constitute exactly that kind of layered on-premise strategy. The Gold medal finish — 94 points — at the 2025 San Francisco World Spirits Competition provides third-party credibility that operators and buyers can cite independently of the celebrity association. For foodservice buyers evaluating the bourbon category, the tasting room also functions as a live proof of concept for the cocktail program, potentially accelerating bar placement conversations at other Nashville-area accounts.
