The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority has locked in a multi-year extension with Sodexo Live! to remain the exclusive food and beverage operator at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The deal keeps Sodexo in control of catering and retail food across a facility that draws more than 1 million attendees annually—and just wrapped a $600 million renovation.
Sodexo Live! has held the contract since 2017, managing F&B at one of the nation's busiest convention properties. Belinda Oakley, CEO of Sodexo Live!, called the renewal "a reflection of trust and shared commitment" built over nearly a decade. Dan Hayes, COO of LVCVA, said the reimagined center demands "world-class convention experience," and F&B is central to that delivery.
The operation is helmed by Executive Chef Dylan Matuschka, whose culinary program leans into global flavors and local sourcing. Sodexo has also committed to food recovery: nearly 1,000 meals from large shows like CES have been donated to local organizations, part of a broader push to cut waste and support the community.
The timing is critical. Las Vegas convention business is rebounding hard, and LVCVA is banking on upgraded infrastructure and premium F&B to compete nationally. Sodexo's retention signals continuity in a market where operator churn can disrupt client relationships and service quality. For the convention foodservice sector, this extension is a textbook case in contract stability—and the leverage that comes with scale, execution, and a clean track record.
